Beautiful polished Type 2 Shungite stands. These have a beautiful symbol of the Ying Yang engraved and then foiled on them. We have made these as a set in the day and night theme. We have made this style in our Studio for the first time, and they are only found on our website. These are a particular favourite, as the symbols are just gorgeous! They are very versatile too! You can use them to pop your glass, which people say will help structure the liquid. Try placing them on any painful area to bring relief also.
These tiles have been etched, and then gold-coloured foil has been added. They are then lacquered to preserve the foiling.
Yin Yang Meanings :
The yin-yang symbol (also known as the Tai Chi symbol) consists of a circle divided into two halves by a curved line. One half of the circle is black, typically representing the yin side; the other is white for the yang side. A dot of each colour is situated near the centre of the other’s half. The two halves are thus intertwining across a spiral-like curve that splits the whole into semicircles, and the small dots represent the idea that both sides carry the seed of the other. The white dot in the black area and the black dot in the white area connote the coexistence and unity of opposites to form a whole. The curvy line signifies no absolute separations between the two opposites. The yin-yang symbol embodies both sides: duality, paradox, unity in diversity, change, and harmony.
Yin and yang (or yin-yang) is a complex relational concept in Chinese culture that has developed over thousands of years. Briefly put, yin and yang mean that the universe is governed by a cosmic duality, sets of two opposing and complementing principles or cosmic energies that can be observed in nature.
